Parking at Hveradalir is clearly marked and located right by the geothermal area and mud baths. The parking area is on private land and maintained by the local family operating the site.

Visitors are asked to park only in the designated parking zone and follow all on-site signage. From the parking area, access to the geothermal site is easy and within a short walking distance.

Parking fees help support maintenance of the area, safety improvements, environmental protection, and continued development of facilities for future visitors.

How to Pay

Payment is made digitally through the official parking system (Zone 8216 – Skíðaskálinn Hveradölum). You can pay online up to 24 hours after leaving the parking area. The fee is valid until midnight on the day of your visit.

The parking lot is open 24 hours a day. Overnight stays in the area are not permitted.

If payment is not completed within 24 hours, a late payment fee may apply according to the parking operator’s terms.
