The hike to the hot river takes approximately 45–60 minutes each way and follows a well-marked trail suitable for most visitors with moderate fitness. While Reykjadalur offers a longer scenic hike and river bathing experience, Hveradalir provides easier access to geothermal landscapes and mineral-rich mud baths.
